This Mastering Web3 MOOC is a 12-week course by the Institute for the Future (IFF) at the University of Nicosia, aimed at offering a broad and deep introduction to Web3 technologies. The ‘Free MOOC: Digital Currency’ is the first free MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain technology globally, and the first course of the MSc in Blockchain and Digital Currency degree programme.

The Digital Currency MOOC is a 12-week foundational course offered by UNIC / IFF, designed for beginners and those with some technical background. It starts by covering the history of money and the economic needs that gave rise to cryptocurrencies, then dives into how blockchains work, how to transact with Bitcoin and Ethereum, and the role of wallets and smart contracts. The course also explores decentralized finance (DeFi), security, regulatory and economic aspects, and future trends involving AI and the Internet of Things. Students can earn a blockchain-verifiable certificate.

NFTs & the Metaverse

An open introductory course to NFTs and the Metaverse, delivered on-chain and in the metaverse, taught by UNIC faculty and @punk6529 – a deeply influential thinker on NFTs and the metaverse and one of the largest NFT collectors in the world – along with an incredible array of guest panelists and lecturers.

The NFTs & the Metaverse MOOC offers a 12-week immersive introduction to non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and immersive virtual worlds. Delivered on-chain and in a decentralized metaverse classroom, the course covers the technical standards behind NFTs (ERC-721, ERC-1155), their practical applications in art, gaming, and identity, and issues of copyright and provenance. You’ll explore generative art, profile-picture NFTs (PFPs), and the economic models of virtual worlds. The course also invites participants to mint their own course certificate as an NFT and interact in a live Web3 metaverse environment.

I am currently fully dedicated to studying and training to become a Blockchain Programmer. This is one of the projects I am developing during the course, and I decided to share it here with you. I created this website with the goal of improving my studies, focusing even more on the Blockchain area, as well as keeping up with articles and news on the topic and expanding my professional network.
Although the main focus of the site is Blockchain, I needed to implement some monetization strategies to cover maintenance costs.
